The band is what separates a good pair from a frustrating one. Thin enough to disappear under liner, flexible enough to follow the curve of the eye, and matte black so no shine gives it away. A stiff band lifts at the outer corner by mid-evening no matter how much adhesive goes underneath it.

What Faux Mink Actually Means

Real mink lashes come from animals. Faux mink is synthetic fibre engineered to imitate the same softness and sheen, cut and curled to behave the same way on the eye, with nothing taken from a living creature to make it.

The visual difference is negligible. The ethical one is not. Every pair here is vegan and cruelty free, which is the only reason to choose faux over the original.

How to Apply Strip Lashes

Measure against your own lash line first and trim from the outer edge, never the inner one, since the inner end is cut shorter to sit against the tear duct. Most pairs are made longer than most eyes.

Run a thin line of adhesive along the band and wait thirty seconds until it turns tacky. Applying while wet is the single most common mistake and the reason bands slide. Press from the centre outward, then push the two ends into place with a fingertip.

Build the eye first with a shade from our vegan eyeshadow palettes and finish with liner before the lashes go anywhere near your face. Lashes are the last step, so the band disappears into the liner instead of resting on powder.

Removing and Reusing

Loosen the outer corner gently and peel inward rather than pulling straight off, which takes your own lashes with it. Warm water or a little micellar solution on a cotton pad softens stubborn adhesive if it resists.

Peel the dried glue from the band afterwards while it is still slightly flexible, since leaving it hardens the strip and shortens how many wears you get. Store them back in the original tray rather than loose in a drawer, and a single pair keeps its shape for a considerable stretch.
